Meet our Artistic Director/Owner

Taylor’s passion for dance was shaped early on by the powerful influence of her mother’s studio, where creativity, discipline and a love for movement were at the heart of every class. Growing up alongside her sisters, she continued to develop her skills and trained extensively deepening her commitment to the art of dance. Bringing over 25 years of dance experience to the Auburn/Opelika area, she looks forward to blending technical excellence with a passion for performance and mentorship.

Taylor has danced all styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, acrobatics and musical theatre. She began her training at Ann’s Studio of Dance in Huntsville, AL, having the opportunity to learn and grow into a company member for the Ann Brown Company Dancers. She performed all over the Southeastern United States winning numerous awards and has been special guest performer at Walt Disney World.

With a relocation for her family she continued training at Barbara’s Studio of Dance in Alexander City, AL. Before graduating from Benjamin Russell High School she was selected as Tallapoosa County’s Junior Miss going on to win an overall fitness award at Alabama’s Junior Miss. Taylor continued dancing in college at Auburn University as a Tiger Paw serving as captain her senior year. Throughout her college summers, Taylor was a staff member for Universal Dance Association teaching and training dancers at summer camps in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Upon graduating she was named Coach of the Auburn University Tiger Paws Dance team serving the team for 6 years.

Her talent also shined as she competed in the Miss America organization for several years. Being named Miss Chattahoochee Valley and Miss Painted Rock, allowed her the opportunity to compete on the Miss Alabama stage where she was named 3rd runner up for Miss Alabama 2010.

Throughout her life dance has always opened up opportunities to perform, grow and nurture her love of dance. Following the footsteps of her mother and sister, Taylor is excited to bring Stage Arts Studio to life and create opportunities for younger dancers today.
